As you already know, there are ongoing attempts to port the Alien in R1 version, fully compliant with Coreboot requirements. The next one is R3. It is available in different versions. More information about one of them: It was inaugurated in 2011 as a continuation of further support and development of the M11x seriesm which in the previous version R1 and R2 was a huge success. A full support for second generation processors (Intel's Mobility series Core i5 and i7) was added. As befits the entire series, it was equipped with two graphics systems: integrated HD 3000 and much more demanding GeForce GT 540M 1 GB of its own operating memory. At the end of 2011, a new motherboard was used – designed for the R3 series - produced in a limited version. The new version of the motherboard used a much more powerful Nvidia GF108 chipset present in GeForce GT 550M. These motherboards were known mainly from high computing power compared to so small sizes, long working time with large resources and a really solid finish.
